Experience
Underwriting Representative, Radio K Minneapolis, MN
February 2011-May 2012
As Underwriting Representative, I created unique underwriting opportunities for local and
national businesses to maintain the financial viability of Radio K. I generated creative ideas for
revenue generation, created personal relationships with local and national business owners and
representatives, worked closely with traffic, production, marketing, and program directors to
facilitate contract fulfillment, and managed fundraising drives through working with local
businesses to provide amenities for student volunteers. I also managed participants in the
Music Lover’s Card discount program and stayed current on FCC rules and regulations for
public broadcasting to ensure that Radio K underwriting continued to be in compliance with
current guidelines.
Team Lead, University of Minnesota Marching Band Minneapolis, MN
2010-2011
As the Tenor Saxophone Team Lead, I was the mediator between the directors and the section.
I worked closely with other leaders as well as the Tenor Sax leadership team to teach marching
fundamentals and music for our weekly shows. I lead sectionals, rehearsals, and scheduled
team building events outside of regular rehearsal.
Specialty Show Host - Pop Is Dead, Radio K Minneapolis, MN
September 2010-May 2012
As a host, I was a voice and representative of Radio K. I created a playlist for each shift, and
between 15 minute sets I gave a short (minute to minute and a half) break, including
backtracking the set, promoting upcoming concerts sponsored by Radio K as well as directing
listeners to RadioK.org, and a forward promote to keep listeners listening. I also maintained
blogs and fan pages via RadioK.org and Facebook to facilitate listener interaction with the
show and station
